Eagle Rock Plaza promotes local artist Rachel van der Pol

thru April 1st, reception is Saturday, March 13 at 7pm Every month the Plaza is promoting a local artist on the Northeast Los Angeles Artwalk. Please join us for free refreshments and artist on-site discussion this Second Saturday, March 13 beginning at 7pm.
Born in Naaldwijk, Holland in 1982, Rachel van der Pol moved to southern California with her family when she was just four years old. When Rachel's parents recognized their very young daughter's tendency toward quiet musings, they carted her off to arts and crafts workshops. While her two sisters were exercising their energetic talents on theater and the performing arts, Rachel was focusing her attentions on manipulating paints for her own delight. As she grew, she never lost her affection for creativity and continues to put it at the center of her life.

Working with a variety of mediums including oil paint, acrylic paint and stained-glass mosaics, Rachel's pieces are characterized by her bold color choices, detailed design work and self-portrait subject matter. She recently achieved a Bachelor of Art in Studio Art from CSU Fullerton in 2007 and hopes to continue her education in Buenos Aires. Rachel hopes to make the creation of art her life's career so that she can focus on it and develop it into a beautiful body of work that defines her existence.

Kids Club Events!

Second and Fourth Saturdays 2-3pm Kid's Club will be hosted this year by Career College Consultants! Come to participate in a fun art and craft! Upper Level just outside of Chuck E. Cheese's.

Eagle Rock N' Roll Farmer's Market

Every Sunday from 9am - 2pm Come and check out all the fresh vegetables, home made goodies, one of a kind finds and LIVE MUSIC at the newest addition to our Plaza! The Farmers Market takes place every Sunday on the Upper Level Parking Lot next to Macy's.

Education Promotion Weekends

Every Saturday and Sunday 1pm - 5pm Career College Consultants will be here to help you gather information on their educational training classes! Come find out how easy it is to train for something that you will love to do and also about the financial aid to help you do it! Now Open Mon - Sat, 8am to 5pm Do the Earth a favor and recycle! Bring your cans, bottles and plastic containers to our new recycling facility no open on the Upper Level parking lot next to Macy's!
